Project Chaki Puente

Project Chaki Puente (foot bridge) has been a long term goal for many years for the Q’ero.

Downhill in elevation from the area of the six ancestral villages & along the Hatun Q’ero River; a primary trail gets washed out annually due to high rains during the rainy season.

Many Q’eros travel this trail in order to arrive in the lower elevations, where specific foods are grown, such as corn.
